BUILT ON LOVE, SEASONED WITH HISTORY
Proudly Dominican. Proudly Bronx. Always yours.

FROM THE DR TO THE BX - THIS IS OUR STORY
A dream seasoned with love
The story of Caridad Williamsbridge begins with Orquidea — a bold, hardworking woman who came to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic in the 1980s, carrying not just her dreams, but generations of family recipes and a love for cooking that couldn’t be taught.
After years of gaining experience and running her own restaurant in Soundview, Orquidea co-owned a Caridad on 208th Street in the Bronx. But in 2001, she brought her vision full circle — opening Caridad Williamsbridge, a space made with heart, hustle, and her own sazón.
Though Orquidea has passed on, her legacy lives in every dish, every smile, and every family gathering under our roof.

FAMILY OWNED. FAMILIA RUN.
Keeping mami’s dream alive
Today, Orquidea’s son Henry and her brother Juan proudly carry the torch. Since 2019, Henry has been part of the team, stepping in to honor his mother’s legacy after her passing. Together, this uncle-nephew duo continues to run Caridad Williamsbridge with the same passion, pride, and purpose Orquidea poured into it.
Here, family isn’t just a concept — it’s the heartbeat of everything we do. From the way we treat our guests to the food we serve, this is a restaurant built on real love.
